At FHI 360’s National Institute for Work and Learning (NIWL), we believe that equitable access to quality education and fulfilling work empowers people to reach their highest potential. That’s why NIWL focuses on two key drivers of individual well-being: education and employment.
As part of that work, NIWL implements Johnson & Johnson’s Bridge to Employment (BTE) initiative, which inspires young people (ages 14-18) from underserved communities to stay in school, excel academically, and elevate their career aspirations. BTE helps young people from around the world build bridges to brighter futures. The program’s goal is to:
Through academic enrichment activities, career readiness and exploration opportunities, and post-secondary education preparation, BTE students learn about various careers, gain the knowledge they need to pursue higher levels of education, and feel empowered to take the steps necessary to achieve their full potential.
Under NIWL’s supervision, with mentorship support, the Communications & Resource Development Intern will assist in project communications and resource development for Bridge to Employment. FHI 360 will also provide professional development opportunities and broad exposure to a global nonprofit development organization. This is a remote, paid internship with a flexible schedule based on project needs. Applicants must submit their cover letter and a writing sample. Read the full position description here: FHI360.org.
